Since its establishment in 1978, OCC has played a significant role in the renaissance initiated by His Majesty, the late Sultan Qaboos Bin Said. OCC is committed to building on this legacy and contributing to the realization of the ambitions of Oman’s “Vision 2040”.

From humble beginnings in 1978 with a clinker capacity of 600,000 tons per annum, OCC has grown to an operation with a clinker capacity of 2,600,000 tons and a cement grinding capacity of 3,600,000 tons per annum. Our company provided the cement for many homes, commercial and industrial buildings, and infrastructure constructions in Oman, and at the same time, it developed its human resources and can count today on a management team and employees of the highest professional standards and commitment.

In April 2023, Huaxin Cement, one of the biggest and leading cement producers in China, became the major shareholder and partner of OCC. The partnership with Huaxin will give OCC access to Huaxin’s know-how and proprietary technology in OCC’s business of cement manufacturing as well as for growth and expansion in related businesses.
