Oman Cement Company has signed an agreement with Al-Rimal for Comprehensive Technical Services to install a solar energy production system to meet its energy needs in the main management building. On behalf of the company, Eng. Salem bin Abdullah Al Hajri, Chief Executive Officer and the project implementing company, Salem Al Jassi, Executive Director of Al-Rimal for Comprehensive Technical Services, took about four months to complete the project and will produce 100 kW of electricity. The tender is awarded to Al-Rimal for Comprehensive Technical Services, which is run by a group of Omani youth and encourages the contribution to the growth of small and medium enterprises.

This initiative is part of the company’s initiatives to achieve sustainable and renewable energy integration and contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The company is currently studying the use and recycling of some waste and secondary materials and converting them to produce the necessary energy in the operations, which will have a significant impact on the efficiency of energy use and reduce the cost and disposal of materials that pose a challenge to the disposal of these materials.
